C-Section Recovery Essentials

Recovering from the major surgery of a c-section is a journey and making sure you have the right items to aid in that recovery process is key. While the hospital provides some of these items, supplies are limited, so it’s helpful to stock up on extras for home. Below I will list out those 6 c-section recovery essentials so you can easily add them to your shopping list to help your partner recover ASAP.

Before I show each product individually, I will note that Frida Mom does offer a c-section recovery kit that has most of the items below which you’d be better of purchasing as a kit instead of individually. The only items is does not include are the Tylenol and the water bottle. See that kit here

1. Frida Mom Women’s Postpartum Underwear - my wife used these in conjunction with large pads for bleeding that happened postpartum.

   

2. Frida Mom Postpartum Pads - My partner didn’t use these specifically but they were very similar. We needed to get something fast from target after we ran out.

   

3. C-Section Belly Binder - Good to have in case this helps with comfort. My partner didn’t end up using it but if it helps with discomfort anything is helpful.

   

4. Scar strips - These help heal c-section scars and help reduce the footprint of the overall scar

   

5. Tylenol - The doctors will most likely prescribe tylenol and ibuprofen as the pain medication. Both you can get OTC but they may prescribe an extra strength ibuprofen.

   

6. Simple Modern Water Bottle - My partner really loves this water bottle. A couple of these and she hits her hydration goal for the day.
